Papacream, Churchgate - Sweetness with a twist

Quirky flavors, bright colors and puff of liquid nitrogen await you when you visit Papacream. Located at Churchgate between Subway and Satyam it occupies a place perfect to capture the college crowds. Done up in bright colours with quirky touches through out such as the unicycle seats Papacream projects a fun ambience. Their mission to make ice cream fun extends to the quirky combinations they have taken the freshly prepared ice cream in both the savory and sweet sides of ones palate.

We started off with their Mexicano Nachos Ice cream which replaces the conventional cheese sauce we drizzle over the nachos with a cream cheese ice cream containing jalapenos and garlic. This worked out really well and didn't have me miss my cheese sauce one bit. Dipping the chips in the ice cream felt odd at first, however we quickly got used to it and enjoyed having our ice cream cheese sauce.

Next up was the Doughwich which is a sugary doughnut stuffed with whipped cream, Belgian chocolate ice cream, oreos with caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled on top. A complete and total sugar rush this is one which has to be shared with a friend to finish. Otherwise the sweetness gets to you and can overwhelm you.

The Horlicks ice cream topped with Nutella crepes made me sure that it would bring back memories of a simpler time when mothers would prepare a hot mug of the stuff just before running down the stairs to get to school. However as someone who was never a big fan of Horlicks thankfully to me it tasted close to a malai kulfi. However friends with me who have Horlicks to this day were very pleased. Win win for everyone.

Our last icecream of the day was the Caramel Popcorn Icecream. Super smooth salted caramel Ice cream topped with freshly popped popcorn this was my favorite of the night. As quirky as the others were this one ticked all the right boxes for me. I would return for this time and again.

There are quite a few flavours of ice cream still to be tried at Papacream with the Ferro Crunch and their version of Pani Puri and Thai Sushi rolls at the top of my to try list.

We spent Rs.840 for all the ice creams and found that to a bit expensive, however experiencing something different made it seem worthwhile.
